what does Iowa have to do with Conservative Ideology like letting people keep the money that they ern and civil morality

Marriage it not a Right covered by the U.S. Constitution , Marriage is a Privilege like being issued a License to drive a motor vehicle is a Privilege , being Issued a Drivers License is covered by State Law not Federal Law , if you want Marriage to be one of your Constitutional Rights you will have get Congress to make an Amendment to the U.S. Constitution

personally I don’t care what consenting adults do in privet and people can protect their wishes as far as others are concerned with a Living Will

The Iowa State Supreme Court, by unanimous decision, rules that gay couples have an equal right to marry under the Iowa State Constitution. The final line of the ruling:

AFFIRMED.
All justices concur.

The ruling becomes effective in 21 days.

On a personal level, I am both surprised and heartened by their ruling. “Social Conservatism” to the extent that it denies any citizen rights or freedoms based upon any non-merit factor has NO place in this nation.

gay marriage is a bullsh*t nonissue on both sides. Claim victory over a nonsense issue and feel empowered and good as if progress has been made. Worked like a charm on you and them.

Meanwhile back at the ranch tax slavery multiplies exponentially and inflation looms to break our backs.

living in iowa, i can tell you we are more concerned with the economy and the environment then we are about gay marriage. we are proud that our state gives the same rights to everyone.
