My teacher asked us this:
explain the relationship of political parties to elections at the various levels of government and to influencing policy issues.
3. Appraise political participation at the state and local level.
3.1 Discuss voting patterns from state to state.
3.2 Reveal the activities and functions of interest groups and political parties at the state and local level.
3.3 Outline election and campaign methods focusing especially on Iowa.
3.4 Discuss the major provisions of campaign finance law.

I don’t really understand exactly what she’s asking, especially for 3, 3.2, 3.4. I don’t need answers, just someone to explain what she’s asking for.

Isn’t this getting ridiculous? I mean most people know who they are going to vote for right off the bat. All of this politicking that goes on for what seems like forever! And living in Iowa, it used to be a “sport” watching and listening to the wannabe’s, now it is excruciating having every form of public media lead with politics. The amount of money these people throw around looking for a few voters is mind-boggling!
